DPF warning light or limp mode? Have your registration, mileage and dash message ready when you contact us.

DPF diagnostics before expensive parts.

We use fault codes, live data and physical checks to work out why the DPF warning light is on before recommending cleaning, repair, renewal or software work.

What we check

A blocked DPF is often caused by something upstream. The diagnostic work looks at the whole system rather than treating the filter as the only fault.

  • Differential pressure readings and pressure pipe condition
  • Soot loading, ash loading and regeneration status
  • Exhaust gas temperature sensors and plausibility
  • EGR, boost, injector, thermostat and air-leak faults
  • Previous software files, adaptation values and incomplete repairs

Bring useful details

Typical diagnostic outcomes

The right next step depends on measured data and the condition of the filter.

Regeneration possible

If the vehicle is safe to regenerate and the underlying cause is resolved, a forced regeneration may be suitable.

Cleaning recommended

Where the filter is blocked but physically sound, off-car cleaning may restore flow.

Repair or renewal needed

Sensor faults, split pipes, cracked filters, melted cores or high ash loading need a different approach.
